Our mission
Every student deserves the chance to find their next favorite book.
Access to a library gives students room to explore, discover new interests, and choose books that speak to them. Some schools face barriers that make that experience difficult to offer: limited funding, limited space, and limited access to books.
BOOKED helps bring that experience into the classroom. Our mobile library carts hold collections selected across genres, interests, and reading levels, so students can browse and discover books that feel right for them.
A cart can move between classrooms, making a shared collection available without requiring a dedicated library room.

We start by learning about the students, their ages, reading interests, and the space available for a mobile library.

We gather and select books across genres and reading levels, then organize them into a collection suited to the students it will serve.
Bring the library to them.
A stocked cart gives the school a movable collection students can browse, with books they can choose for themselves.

Our story
It started with a stack of books.
And a question.
What should we do with all the books we had finished reading?
As we looked for places to donate them, we learned that some under-resourced schools had no library of their own. For students in those schools, the chance to browse shelves, explore different genres, and choose a book could be difficult to come by.
We wanted to know that the books we collected would become part of something students could actually use. That meant thinking about the whole collection: different reading levels, different interests, and books that would help each student find a starting point.
Schools also faced practical barriers. A library needs space, funding, and people to support it. We asked: what if the books could come to the students?
That idea became BOOKED: a fully curated library on wheels, designed to bring the joy of choosing a book into schools that need greater access.

A little more about BOOKED.
What makes a mobile library different from a book donation?
BOOKED organizes books into a collection selected for the students who will use it and places that collection in a movable cart. The goal is to give students a chance to browse, discover different genres, and choose their own reading.
Does the cart replace a traditional school library?
A cart helps expand access to books where a school library is unavailable. It does not replace the full services, space, and expertise of a staffed school library.
What books should I donate?
Please contact us before donating. Tell us about the books, their condition, the intended age range, and the approximate quantity. We can discuss which books match current school needs and how to arrange a donation.
Can an organization other than a school contact BOOKED?
Yes. Our focus is on schools without libraries, and we welcome conversations with community organizations about book access and possible partnerships.
